  Liked: me and my friend booked this place because it was the cheapest decent option in salamanca. we both had low standards and low expectations, and the place committed to meeting them. it is not far from the centre, which is convenient. at check in we arrived at the building and could not find the entrance. we called, and the reply came in fast spanish, which through the phone distortion became roughly the audio equivalent of a wet sock. apparently we were supposed to enter through a coffee shop. no coffee shop in sight. after a second call someone finally came outside to show us, and it turns out the coffee shop is not next door but on the parallel street. of course it is. should you ever need to evacuate this building, i wish you luck, because it is a maze. instructions were given half in spanish while my friend and i nodded in total confusion at the man checking us in. somehow we made it to the room. being the cheapest option we could find, it came with a shared toilet. or so we thought, because upon entering we found an open plan sink and shower sitting right there in the room. the wc itself was outside and shared. the room was nice enough, with a lovely view over the streets of salamanca, and the shared toilet was always very clean. every time i went there i also heard some mysterious noises from the room next door, which i still cannot confirm were real since my friend never heard a thing. i choose to believe it was the building's way of keeping things interesting. slept well every night, wifi was kind of bad. overall a decent budget option, as long as you can find the coffee shop.
