Sleeping beauty needs to be released
Liked: Great location. Bathroom was good. Good kitchen. Great location.
Disliked: We booked for four but they only gave us provisions for three including a three towels. I sent a message immediately but we did not receive the missing towel for 24 hours. The second bedroom was very musty. When we arrived the windows had been left open and as it was full of leaves. This is a great apartment and with a little more care could be fantastic.
Perfect and would definitely stay here again and again
Liked: The location was so perfect! Links and walkable to all the places we needed to go like beaches, food, centre, located near the airport (13 mins taxi journey) The property was really clean and bathroom was perfect, hot water and shower pressure were great and it was really clean, there was also a mobile heater in one of the rooms which was a nice touch for me.
Disliked: Nothing! We had everything we needed!
Not the best experience. Dirty, other people’s hair very noisy
Disliked: Property was dirty. Hair in the bathroom and on one of the bedsheets. Very noisy, you can hear everything from the street and neighbouring properties. Gulls start at 4:30am. No soap in the shower. Advertised as having parking but this was a 7min drive away given all the one way streets.
After confirming the booking, we were asked to pay a security deposit. We agreed in advance with the host that check-out
Liked: Great location — just a 2-minute walk to the city center. The apartment is recently renovated, very clean, and was well prepared before our arrival.
Disliked: During our 4-day stay, the main issue was the dampness. There are many air fresheners placed around the apartment — when we arrived, we didn’t understand why there were so many and put them all away in the storage room. After that, a strong musty, basement-like smell became very noticeable. Half of the apartment is literally below ground level — it’s a semi-basement unit. The bed and clothes in the back room were constantly damp, and this was in the middle of summer.
Perfect apartment with a great host
Liked: Beautiful ground floor apartment near the heart of the city, but in a quiet street. Our host, Paula, was super responsive, and gave us lots of good local information. The apartment was spacious, clean, very well appointed, including a really good coffee machine. We were very happy.
