Fabulous
Liked: The owner was so friendly. Went out his way to show us where to go and recommended bars and places to go. Good value for money.
Disliked: For a budget place nothing to complain about
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. What I appreciated most, though, was the hospitality of José Antonio
Liked: I like the room, it was very big and comfortable for me.
Disliked: It doesn't have a kitchen or a microwave or a water heater.
Very welcoming place to stay near university area
Liked: You feel like you're on the outskirts of the city as it's such a spacious and peaceful neighbourhood but it's only a short walk to the city centre and the escaleras mecánicas and rampas make it an easy walk back. The highlight of our stay was Antonio, the manager, who is a wonderful host and went out of his way to be helpful and to recommend interesting places to visit and places to eat. He was super-helpful with everything we needed and really made our stay!
Liked: The host was so accommodating and very understanding.
Liked: The gentleman was warm, enthusiastic, friendly and respectful. It was a pleasure to meet him and talk with him about Santander and his region. He gave help with local attractions and recommendations but the most helpful was at checkout, he was keen to hear about our stay, our future plans and made sure we knew what to do next. I liked it and would return. Never ridden an outdoor escalator up the hill to a room before. Santander is hilly which was great for us but may not be to all tastes.
Disliked: The shower was a little weak and the toilet flush didn't work as well as it should (you had to pull the flush button upwards to stop once flushed, it didn't come out automatically). There was only one towel between the two of us. It seemed a high price for what it was.
A great host who was very helpful. Old school cafe nearby with great coffee
Liked: Clean and fun. A change from conventional hotels.
Disliked: Parking extremely tricky.
