Liked: The Hotel Frisia is a small modern hotel overlooking the port in Beaulieu sur Mer. It has probably been modernised quite recently so it looks clean and fresh. The staff don't seem to be overly friendly but this is fairly typical in small hotels in France. The rooms are clean and tidy with modernised bathrooms. The range of food available for breakfast is limited but it's good value compared to other options nearby. The main problem with the hotel is its location at a busy roundabout on the coast road to Monaco and points east. The traffic noise is incessant from early morning to late at night. My room was well sound proofed when the sliding doors to the balcony were closed and the steel shutter fully lowered so my sleep wasn't disturbed. However it was impossible to sit at the table on the balcony for any length of time.
