  A nice haven

  Liked: When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist and given our room key very quickly. The room was very small but it was clean and comfortable with almost everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The only thing we would have liked that wasn't there was tea/coffee making facilities for that first coffee in a morning. The Cite is just a 5 minute walk away with lots of things to see and do and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. The new town is about a 20 minute walk away and going down there is all downhill. Again there are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants down there and lots to see and do. There are buses back to the cite and also the little white train which gives a good commentary.

  Good Location

  Liked: This hotel is located just outside the old city walls and about 25 mins walk from train station. Rooms are quite small, breakfast is good and staff very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

  Liked: Due to the weather we could not do much it was way too hot however the hotel was only a 2 minute walk to the Carcassonne Castle which was very convenient and the staff were very helpful and always willing to help. But transportation was very expensive and the distances were far. Otherwise everything was great!

  Liked: Such an excellent location, right under the medieval cité but away from the business. There are plenty of lovely places to have dinner a short walk away, and it is also a very short walk over the bridge and into La Bastide for cafes and shops around Place Carnot. The swimming pool is quiet and was very welcome in such hot weather! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
