Great stay near Carcassonne - especially by car!

Liked: If you’re traveling to Carcassonne by car, this hotel is perfect! It’s clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities you need. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient, just slightly outside the main town, but only a 5-minute drive from both the city center and the medieval fortress (with easy parking at both). As we were on a road trip, having secure on-site parking made our stay completely stress-free. I felt safe and welcome throughout our stay. The staff gave us great local tips for dining and sightseeing, and even let us store our luggage after checkout. They thoughtfully advised us against leaving valuables in the car while visiting the medieval city due to recent break-ins in the public lots and offered we leave the luggage with them. I’d definitely stay here again!

Disliked: Nothing - it was all great!

Liked: The staff was helpful, the ladies at the reception guided us to restaurants and visiting sites and they were also very nice. The room was clean, the sheets and towels as well.

Disliked: The room was very small, the bathroom even smaller and outdated. Even the ceiling was lowered probably to make room for the upper floor. The inner walls were covered in something resembling calcio vechio which did not feel right for the interior. The A/C is not what one think of air conditiong in this era but an older instalation (something like a fan heater / cooler) that was really loud and because it was warm outside (and also the room was at a ground level) we could not sleep with the window opened, so we woke up tired... This property should not be rated 3 stars...
