  Liked: The bistro restaurant is excellent quality. The room was clean and cosy, ideal for a short business trip. The location is excellent. Local public transport is a short walk away with direct connection to Geneva airport and palexpo.

  Disliked: If anything, only the absence of an elevator but this was not a problem. The TV in the room is a bit small.

  Liked: It was very cozy and extremely beautiful. Every morning I looked out the window, saw a wonderful statue of Voltaire, looked at people and cars slowly taking up speed on their way to work or maybe leisure. Hotel is perfectly located in the middle of a small crossroad; you have bakeries and restaurants in each corner. The hotel itself has a be try cute coffee shop and a restaurant. Beds are wonderful, everything is clean and fresh. There is a kettle, water, tea /coffee in the room. Rooms are looked after every day ( amazing!!), so you can rest assure it will be wonderful staying there.

  Disliked: Perhaps the only thing to be aware of is, that this building is old ( and has high historical significance!), and of course, if there are people on the floor above - may make some noise. If you are a little bothered by noises, it is just to tell the hotels staff and it will be regulated.

  Excellent location, good clear instructions

  Liked: Excellent location, good clear instructions, good parking (€7 extra).

  Disliked: Shower needed to be run every few hours as there was a strong smell of drains otherwise.

  Lovely stay in clean, friendly hotel with lovely bar and period features

  Liked: Pretty, characterful hotel with great bar and restaurant in centre of town.

  Disliked: Nothing. It would be great to have a couple of milks in the room for coffee.

Good to know

The Hôtel de France – Le Patriarche occupies an 18th-century building listed as a historical monument. The building has three floors and no elevator. Therefore, it is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Please note: self check-in only; the hotel does not have a reception desk.

The hotel offers 14 renovated rooms in a simple and comfortable style. All rooms have a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, a kettle, and Wi-Fi. Room service is provided twice a week.

Paid parking is available. Street parking is also possible (blue zone, parking disc required).

The Le Patriarche restaurant is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Lunch is served from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., and dinner from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Please note: no breakfast or lunch service is provided on weekends. Several cafes and brunch spots are nearby.

The hotel is 500 meters from the Swiss border. Geneva Airport is a 5-minute drive away.

A deposit may be required at the property.
