  Can’t beat the location for Versailles

  Liked: Super close to Versailles and walkable to some good nearby restaurants. Bathroom was a good size and relatively modern.

  Disliked: Some staff weren’t very friendly or helpful - once during breakfast and at the bar, where we were turned away as it was “full” even though there was an empty overflow room and empty tables in the adjacent “dining area” as they were “closed” (wasn’t even that late).

  Liked: Great location for the Palace. Staff were great. Lovely rooms, reception, bar and restaurant areas.

  The location, the accommodations and the staff were perfect for visiting Versailles

  Liked: The hotel is located at the ideal location for visiting the palace and the shopping market.

  Disliked: There was nothing I did not like about the property. It was perfect for our stay in Versailles.

  Disappointing stay in an excellent location

  Liked: The hotel is in an excellent location, it is close to the train station and even closer to the Chateau. The rooms were large with comfortable beds. The products in bathroom were luxury, over all it was a modern hotel. Staff after check-in were pleasant and housekeeping staff were very friendly. We needed a room change and reception staff were helpful and were very professional at this point.

  Disliked: At our check-in we did not receive a hello or welcome or any general conversation. We had left in notes multiple times that we were visiting for our honeymoon (just married days before). This was also not acknowledged. We were told we had to pay an extortionate €400 deposit (€100 per adult per night) to cover the cost of any potential purchases in the hotel. This left a very sour taste in our mouth as we had already paid €700+ for our stay and felt like we were being accused of potential theft or damage! €400 is a substantial amount of money!!! We were asked if we were parking, we did not park but on checkout we were nearly charged €60 from this deposit for parking. This poor welcome affected the rest of our stay. In the room, there was 1 large towel for 2 adults, certainly not luxury. There was only 2 milk pods for coffee. There was limescale on the showerhead. On the second night we had to request a room change as the whole 4th floor smelled terrible which staff seemed to be aware off. The new room was pleasant but it was an inconvenience to move. We acknowledge that the reception staff on this evening were pleasant and very helpful. The fitness suite and sauna were not fit for purpose, the sauna was not sealed correctly and the steam room did not work correctly. Breakfast had great options but on the first day it was like a cattle market - items running out, coffee machines broken (there were only pod machines as well, not other kinds of coffee). Breakfast on the second morning was better. Over all I would not recommend this hotel for couples as it is incredibly corporate and impersonal. They certainly cater more to corporate clients than tourists and other visitors.
