  Excellent

  Liked: Amazing accommodation with pool and private parking. We liked everything about the place, the location, design, and Massimo was a very friendly and welcoming host.

  Probably okay for a one night stay

  Liked: It felt like a little oasis in quite a busy area. All on one floor with outside furniture. Air conditioned, and Massimo had turned it on ready for our arrival.

  Disliked: The bed was awful, very soft with creaking springs whenever we moved. Friends, staying in the other unit, said the sofa was very old and worn, they sank down onto the wooden frame on some parts of it. Limited kitchen space with little room to prepare food and nowhere to drain after washing up. We had no kettle, our friends did, but only found it on the last morning of our three night stay as it had been shoved out of sight into a cupboard. Our unit was full of centipede-like insects, coming in from outside. Spotted quite a few cobwebs in the shower, living room and bedroom. Property smelt very musty on arrival.

  Liked: Excellent location to visit Catania, Taormina and the Etna. Friendly owner, very responsive to all questions. The flat is cosy and well equiped.

  Okay for a night as an alternative to Catania

  Liked: Quiet location near the sea, in an authentic sicily neighbourhood. Awesome terrace with table, chairs, parasol and option to grill. Very friendly and time-flexible welcome by host. Comfortable bed. Old-fashioned furniture.

  Disliked: The place is easily reachable by car, by foot from central train station it is quite a bit out of way. Next door are a restaurant and a church, what makes a originally calm-looking place pretty noisy especially late night and early morning. Main entrance features glass doors that cannot be covered at night, so full view into your apartment when you use the little kitchen or walk through to the little adjacent bathroom - not very private. The main (living) room, featuring also parts of the kitchen like fridge, cutlery, dishes and main table, was not very comfortable, the couch covered with an old and a bit stainy blanked. Cockroaches in bedroom. The bathroom was pretty narrow.

  Amazing place

  Liked: Amazing place! The location is perfect—peaceful and authentic, yet close to popular destinations like Etna, Taormina, and Catania. The apartment had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Massimo was an exceptional host, offering great local tips that made our trip even more enjoyable. We truly felt at home and would love to return. Highly recommend!
