We had a wonderful 10 days
Liked: First of all, staff are amazing. They are friendly, helpful and likeable. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the ladies who clean our room every day and to the ladies who prepare breakfast. Our room was cleaned every day, and our towels were replaced. In fact, one day the bathroom drain got clogged; I told the ladies who were cleaning the room, and they fixed the problem right away. I must especially mention that on the day we first checked in—after arriving at the hotel from the train station in the heat of Bari—when we walked into the room, the air conditioner was set to 16 degrees and the room was freezing cold; for that alone, I’m giving it 10 points. It felt like an oasis in the scorching desert at that moment. The hotel's location is great. Everything is within walking distance. The Wi-Fi connection is good. The room is spacious and airy. The balcony is really nice. Breakfast is good. I definitely recommend it.
Disliked: The access code system for the room malfunctioned. More specifically, the locking mechanism broke. They helped us right away, and we were able to get the key. This aspect could be improved.
Large and practical room for a family with children but difficult check in procedures
Liked: The accommodation was more or less okay. It had 2 rooms — one with 2 single beds and one with a double bed. The rooms were fine, clean, perhaps with windows that were too small and with no view whatsoever, but that didn't bother us too much — what mattered more was the convenience of having beds for the children and a hallway in between.
Disliked: The bathroom, however, was very problematic — if you took a shower or did anything else, the floor would get very messy — puddles of water, dirt, hair, accumulated dust — and it gave a very unkempt feeling. Breakfast was somewhere on the ground floor but not very generous, and the ladies there were not particularly friendly. A very big downside was also the check-in process. After receiving an email saying I should download an app and enter all my details there — worse than applying for a VISA — which I did, and it took a while!!! — in their system, no check-in appeared as completed. We arrived at the accommodation at 2:30 PM local time, and check-in was from 3:00 PM. We called to see if we could get in, considering there were only 30 minutes left, and they told me that no check-in was showing up in their system and to send them scanned documents, and maybe they would give me the access code afterwards. In the meantime, it was 2:50 PM, I sent them the documents and let them know we were downstairs and could come in, but we didn't receive the access code until around 3:10 PM — while we were sitting and waiting in front of the building with the children in the car — a sad experience.
