Disliked: The cleaning staff is horrible noise and not polite. They are knocking the doors at 9am requesting to checkout. This is not a hotel, it’s a hell.

Basic, but ultra friendly
Liked: This is a classic, charmingly dated Italian hotel, with absolutely fabulous service, and a family run feel. Yes, certain things may wobble, or rattle a little, but this is southern Italy - everything does! It's part of the romance. The important thing is that it's super clean, super friendly, and very quiet. The buffet breakfast is also extremely good value for money, and perfect if you just want to fuel up and get straight out into the city without any fuss. In terms of location it's about a 15 minute walk to the periphery of the main arena of tourism (the historic centre, the sea, the train station, the main shopping and eating zones etc). The neighbourhood is mostly residential - safe, and dotted with small shops, and quiet bars. Yes it's run down, but most of the city outside of the main touristic zone is. You certainly don't come to southern Italy to experience civic perfection! You come for the atmosphere. Thanks for a wonderful 4 night stay 👍
