  For total immersion in Italian culture Bari and Tresca CHARME suites are the perfect vehicle

  Liked: The position right in the edge of the Centro Storico. Everything was in easy walking distance. The apartment had been remodeled and was in outstanding condition decorated by someone with superb taste. The neighborhood was very pleasant and people welcomed us everywhere. Within a day we felt like we belonged to the town. The owner Frank, his son Gennaro and Nonna were incredible hosts

  Disliked: Parking was not easy. If Bari is your first stop take and Uber. You can go back later to the airport to pick up a rental.

  Liked: It was rather clean when we arrived. The AC kept the temperature low, it worked properly.

  Disliked: Smaller than it seemed in the picture. They advertised a balcony, but there was none. Fake images? The balcony was on another apartment? I don't know. The door to the apartment is weak and you can be heard from the hallway. All the cutlery and dishes were dirty. There was no sponge and soap to wash the dishes.

  Overall, the stay was good. Instructions were left on how to find the keys. The housing administrator constantly offered

  Liked: The location of the apartment is perfect, I can't imagine a better place to live in Bari. Wherever we go and turn on the map, it always shows 5-7 minutes. Great, safe neighborhood. The staircase always smells very nice with the neighbors' laundry.

  Disliked: The apartment was definitely attractive because it had a balcony, but when I booked I didn't see that I had booked a room without a balcony. The apartment has no windows, so there is a lack of daylight... you can also hear everything very well if the neighbors come back, the apartment is not for sensitive people. The shower is small and the ventilation is also poor, because you can smell the dampness coming back from outside, it's good that there is air conditioning. The TV also doesn't work, we informed the owner.

  Liked: Nice, comfortable apartment and certainly suited my needs as a solo traveller

  Disliked: There are no windows - only two windows high up on the walls which open onto a corridor. So there is a real lack of natural light. There was very little hot water when I first had a shower - this improved after an exchange with the hosts but this would have been especially unfortunate if two people were staying rather than just me (it is a pet hate of mine to find out once in the shower that there is a lack of hot water!)

  Wonderful place to visit, but could be a bit challenging if you’re over 80

  Liked: No breakfast. Very good location in the old city. Large apartment. Very friendly and helpful neighbours. comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen area.

  Disliked: Despite the instructions to find and enter the house, it was actually quite difficult. Neighbours were very helpful in phoning the host’s number and getting someone to come and let us in. The host left us a message saying that we would be met by his wife and daughter and given the keys (Which did not happen.) The hosts in these apartments always strongly request that guests only contact them by text on WhatsApp. No talking.
