  Perfect location at Caltagirone

Liked: Perfect location, directly at Caltagirone stairs. Breakfast voucher at Bar Escalier, 40 steps down via stairs - staff at bar excellent, capucchino and croisant delicious. Host Francesco kind and helpful - as I was afraid to drive Caltagirone streets, he met me at parking and took to apartment.

Disliked: No coffee and breakfast options fair - just 1 packed small cornetto and 2 packed mini breads; however, breakfast voucher at nearest caffee appreciated.

Spacious apartment right on the famous staircase

Liked: A beautiful spacious apartment with a well-equipped kitchen right on the famous staircase. You can see the stairs from the bed! Our host was super responsive and met us onsite.

Disliked: The apartment is on step 41 and those stairs are an absolute killer with luggage! However, you can avoid them by walking along a lane instead.

Liked: The cross breeze with doors at either end.

Disliked: Maybe a few more cooking utensils.

  I would recommend

Liked: Central location, good facilities, spacious

Disliked: There were many steps in the street to reach the appartment which was not apparent from booking information and I arrived with bicycle, there was an alternate path but this again was not apparent.

Beautiful property with a view of the famous stairs

Liked: We had an excellent stay here. The owner was lovely as we had our rental car break down on the drive to Caltagirone. We communicated the issue to the owner and finally arrived via taxi. He met us at the stairs and helped us with our luggage as they did have some repair work on the stairs in front of the building. Because we didn’t have a car, he allowed us to stay much later after check out so we could sort out our issues and get back to Catania for a replacement car. This was so helpful and made the stress easier. He really went above and beyond accommodating us with this situation.
