Liked: Clean, great staff, great location
The Hotel DeLa Poste is a great place to stay in the heart Cortina D Ampezzo
Liked: Great location, excellent breakfast and restaurant, plus its sense of history. The staff are really friendly, helpful and attentive to your needs.
Disliked: A screen or shower curtain in the bathroom would have been handy to stop water going on the floor.
Overall good experience and would book again
Liked: Extremely central to everything, friendly and accommodating staff, clean room with the essentials. A little outdated but that sets the vibe.
Disliked: The door key is old school which I like but it took me a long time to get it right and my neighbour was also having troubles. The website states free parking which is a parking lot not at the hotel, it is an apparent 2 minute walk, however I couldn’t find it so parked under the hotel for 30 euro per night..
Liked: Great location, close to the bus stops. Food at the hotel was good.
Disliked: Unfortunately some of the staff were very rude and unhelpful which spoiled the stay.

Stuffy old hotel. No A/C. Don’t stay here
Liked: I can only think of four things i liked. Great location on the pedestrian street near the church. The pillows were nice, fluffy down pillows. The waiters were attentive and nice. We had the same waiter for breakfast and for dinner at the restaurant, and then again for breakfast the next morning. They work long hours. And the third thing was the lady who cleaned our room and even turned down our beds in the evenings. She was a darling, little, very old grandmother who was always smiling and polite.
Disliked: This is a very dated old hotel badly in need of renovations. It appears to be run by a staff of self-important fuddy-duddies in old-school uniforms. Be aware that THERE IS NO A/C. We stayed in August when the days were very hot. We asked the housekeeper if we could have a fan and she tartly informed us she was not a maid. No fans to be had so we suffered the heat. Our wide-open windows faced a back courtyard which was where the hotel kept their rubbish bins. Throughout the afternoons and until 11pm, were startled or woken up every half-hour or hour when they dumped large amounts of glass bottles from the bar in the bin. Very disturbing and annoying. The bedroom decor was all in very dated pink and blue panelling, maybe from 80 years ago. The furniture was also old and not practical. The bathroom as well is sadly dated. We would never stay hete again and fo not recommend it.
