Exceptional
Liked: In an old house in the city center. Shop, restaurants nearby. A restaurant is just under the window of the room, bit they close around 23:00 - so it is OK. If you park your car in the parkings close to the house, then it is free during the night, but about 6 EUR for a whole day. It is fine, if you use your car during the day, otherwise there are free parkings out of the ciry center. Ideal place to feel the ambiance and to visit Fitenze, Siena and the other villages in Tuscany.
great atmosphere and host, but not a place for the mobility challenged
Liked: great location, right opposite the bus station. Quiet at night. Huge rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Appreciated chocolates for nibbling. Atmospheric. Comfy bed. Responsive host. Good security. Good hot water pressure.
Disliked: very dark at night even with lights on. Could not adjust the tapparelle to add light. Also cold. I borrowed a space heater from friends to warm the soggiorno in the evening and the bedroom at night. Also, I had two suitcases and the entrance to the BnB was up two flights of uneven stairs. No problem without luggage during the day but definitely a problem when I arrived and left, and also every night coming back in the dark. I always had to use the torch on my phone for extra guidance.
A Home Away From Home 🇮🇹
Liked: Centrally located to all destinations within Greve. The apartment has a full kitchen where you can make just about any meal, a full bathroom and shower where the water pressure was excellent, and a bedroom that was so comfy where we both slept really well during our stay. This place felt like a home away from home during our three week trip. Loved the vanity makeup area next to the window in the bedroom, as it reminded me of my childhood vanity set in my first house where I lived in as a kid. Definitely recommend this place to any future travelers!
Disliked: You do have to be careful about putting toilet paper in the toilet. DO NOT put toilet paper in the toilet, as we had a minor plumbing issue during the first week of our stay, which was solely due to this reason. Thankfully, Marco had a plumber who was a family member of his that came to the rescue and fixed the problem right away. Also, I would recommend adding more stainless steel kitchenware rather than the plastic coated ones.
