Very good
Pleasant stay
Disliked: We did not realise that we had to drive or take a taxi into the town of Lecce. It wasn’t really a problem as we were using the hotel as a base.
Fair
Liked: The room and restaurant (both dinner and breakfast) were all good
Disliked: Shower head was broken when we booked in. Mentioned twice to staff on reception, not fixed during our stay. Had to fashion a 'fix' using a towel to keep the shower head up while taking a shower, not ideal as this kept slipping too. Cleaning staff should have also been aware of the broken fixture and certainly should have noticed a towel wrapped around the shower head and rail. We believe there was a conference or meeting going on during our stay that took priority over our concerns, shame as we felt we were a nuisance raising any concerns that were ultimately ignored.
Nice hotel outside of Lecce with a pool
Liked: Great pool area and nice comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Lecce. Rooms were large and comfortable.
Disliked: I think charging €17.50 for a pool umbrella for guests (loungers are free) is poor. They are there but you pay for them to be “up”. It seems unwarranted. Also be aware that the town centre is not walkable but is a €15 taxi in and out of town.
Lovely hotel but be aware of pool rules
Liked: Restaurant courtyard was very pretty. Pool was very nice but see comments below. Junior suite Room was spacious and we enjoyed having some outside space.
Disliked: Bathroom shower needed some updating. The pool was lovely BUT they charge hotel guests €17.50 to sit in sunbeds by the pool with an umbrella. If you don’t pay for these sunbeds you do get a sunbed but by the grass area a little way from the pool. Public can pay to use the pool so one afternoon there were about 30 young adults using the pool so we were crammed into a corner when the nice sunbeds were all free. Shouldn’t have to pay for using sunbeds as a hotel guest. We left as couldn’t relax. Mentioned on checkout but hotel reception just weren’t interested.
Great hotel but a few things could be improved
Liked: We had a very pleasant stay overall. The hotel facilities are modern and seem very new and well maintained. The swimming pool is excellent and was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The room was very comfortable, with a strong air conditioning system that cooled the room well, a spacious bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Overall, the room was clean, modern, and well equipped.
Disliked: The air conditioning would sometimes turn off during the night, which was quite uncomfortable as we would wake up feeling hot. Turning it off and on again usually made it work again, but this is something that should definitely be checked. The breakfast could also have more variety, especially considering the overall standard and price of the hotel. Finally, charging guests separately for a pool umbrella is completely unreasonable. When you are already paying a high price for the hotel, basic amenities around the pool should be included. Having to pay extra just to use an umbrella makes little sense and was quite disappointing.
Overall it was comfortable but it has dated, rooms could use a freshen up
Liked: Our room was great but our friends room facing pool was very hot. Breakfast was substantial, some of the staff were attentive, cleaners were excellent, quiet location
Disliked: No kettle, no iron, no clothes horse
