Exceptional
Awesome location, property and onsite breakfast!
Liked: Beautiful rooms. Great location- easy walk from the train station. Great breakfast from a friendly host.
Disliked: The only issue was a cracked toilet seat, but not a huge deal.
Liked: The room was very clean and in a very good central position. And the bed was comfortable, making for good sleeping.
Disliked: There was no table in the bedroom to put things on, and there were no windows. Only the double door allowed light in, but it opened directly onto the street so you couldn't leave it open for privacy reasons, with people walking and cars driving by. Also no kitchen facilities apart from a shared electric kettle and small shared refrigerator.
Liked: Nice and bright room, great location, i liked the fresh fruit for breakfast. Clear communication.
Disliked: I found a lot of black hairs on the floor. But besides that everything else looked clean.
Charming B&B conveniently located in the heart of Lecce with a warm host
Liked: Lo Scrigno Barocco far exceeded my expectations. I had a spacious room with beautiful sheets located on a quiet street just off one of the main streets. The best part was my host, Tina. She is a warm and welcoming person who takes pride in her work whether it is her cooking or maintaining her B&B. She makes you feel like a guest in her home. She will prepare you breakfast at your specified time each morning and it was a treat I looked forward to daily. She made me local specialties such as Il Rustico Salentino, fresella, and pasticciotto. My Italian and her English weren't proficient enough to verbally communicate, so through Google Translate she would cheerfully explain to me what she had made. She is an excellent cook and baker! The B&B is set up with an eating area where you enter and a room to the left and right, so there is only one other set of guests staying there which is nice to manage the noise level. Also, as a solo traveler, the location is near a frequently used street, so I felt comfortable walking around by myself at night. I stayed there for 6 nights and will definitely stay there on a return trip to Lecce.
Quality room and facilities in very good situation
Liked: Quality elegant double room and bathroom and bedding and towels. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Well situated within old town.
Disliked: No emergency lighting or torches/lanterns for 2hr + power cut. Hope Francesco will obtain these for any future customers/situation.
