Central location decent room

Disliked: A bit loud at night but not raucous or anything like that.
Liked: Very good room placement next to the central church of Santa Croce
Disliked: Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, not as good as good be expected in this price range.
Liked: The location was excellent and so were the breakfasts and other meals. I appreciated the 20% discount for guests offered by the Miro restaurant as well.
Disliked: The furnishings were basic but functional. The small kitchen wasn't supposed to be used, apart from the refrigerator, as it was very poorly equipped.
Liked: Location and was clean
Disliked: The bathroom is long and narrow, you knock into things as you walk down. My main problem was how we were treated when going for breakfast and dinner in the Miro Bistro I had hoped as staying in their accommodation that we would be treated as part of the family sadly this was lacking. The first breakfast even though Bistro was quite empty we were told to sit on a corner table in the wine area with nothing but a wall to stare at and we really got forgotten and had to chase up staff so we could get some of the items ordered. We booked dinner for 8.30 pm (written in book) at the Bistro one night. I asked if we could have a table near the window. When we went down were confronted by the person whom I booked with asking if we had a booking. I stated we had and had booked it with you. We were asked to sit in 2 chairs. About 10 mins later we were taken to a corner table one seat of which had narrow access. After a further 15 mins menus were brought and order taken. A while later we got the 2 glasses of wine that were ordered, but not the water so I had to politely chase up the water. Finally about 9.10 the first course arrived. I had to politely request knife and forks that had no been provided. Later my wife received her 2nd course. Mine came a couple of minutes later it was placed in front of me without any comments. Sadly my food was slightly cold and the Octopus slightly tough and rubbery At no time were we asked by staff how our meal was. When paying the bill I did not mention any of the problems we had. However I comment that my Octopus was not cooked correctly as it was rubbery, the waiter didn't seem pleased. Just saying he would have a word with the chef So instead of feeling as though we were part of the family, we felt like we were an intrusion
