Exceptional
Romantic / beautiful setting amazing stay
Liked: The setting was amazing. We visited 4 nights 5 days for a wedding nearby. It was a beautiful traditional trolling. Set behind large gates so lovely and quiet. Amazing host let us a lovely bottle if red wine. There was a cherry orchard where're could puck fresh cherries for breakfast. The pool was clean and very spacious. Sun lingers. A washing machine and lovely coffee machine. I felt like I was in the setting of a romantic movie. We hired a car as local taxis are almost non-existent, we were told. Easyvto get to old town and new. I would happily go back to use as a Base to see other locations in the area.
Disliked: Everything. Peaceful and looked so traditional. Lovely and spacious.
A trulli fantastic stay
Liked: Even better than the pictures, a gorgeous house and pool in a peaceful setting. We had a lovely time with the pool all to ourselves and day trips out to the local towns.
Lovely trullo
Liked: The trullo was very cool even without the Aircon, the host was very helpful and it had a traditional feel inside. The pool was large and lovely to come back for a swim after a day sightseeing. We appreciated the coffee pods and dishwasher tablets left to last for our stay.
Disliked: There were a few minor things that could be improved such as the door handles to the fridge and better kitchen knives as cutting the local crispy bread was challenging. There were a lot of barking dogs in the neighborhood which started up in the evenings and the fact that someone lived under the trullo was not what we expected as we could hear conversation when we sat out at the front coming from a vent near our front door which was a bit disconcerting.
Superb
Liked: The trulli rooms were larger than seemed in the photos, the pool was lovely, and we could walk into the town (about 20 mins walk). It was great to have the opportunity to stay in an extended trulli house. The owner was lovely. It's a good location for local sightseeing in Locorotondo, Alberobello and Matera. We could happily have stayed for longer, and there were more places to visit but we ran out of time. The location is rural. We had delicious pizzas in La Pizzeria in Locorotondo one evening.
Disliked: We would have liked another mirror, but we were 4 ladies together!
We had a great week here, a perfect base for exploring the region
Liked: This is a lovely place to stay. Very peaceful, loads of space, huge pool. It has everything you need plus is not far from town (20 minute walk). It also feels very safe as the drive has remote control gates.
Disliked: The mattress protector on the double bed is very crinkly and refused to stay put. We abandoned it after 2 nights and remade the bed without it. The twin beds in the second bedroom are quite narrow. Fine for younger kids, not so ideal for tall people.
