Disliked: We had high expectations because of the excellent reviews on Booking.com, but several aspects of our stay were disappointing. The pool was advertised as heated, yet the water temperature was only 21°C. We chose this accommodation specifically so our children could enjoy swimming in autumn, so this was a major disappointment. The listing also mentioned a washing machine and dryer without making it clear that there were additional charges: €4 per wash and €3 per drying cycle. Our laundry needed three drying cycles to dry completely. When we asked where the machines were, the hosts simply pointed them out without mentioning the fees. The hosts were not particularly friendly or informative. Check-out was very early, and the instructions in the apartment stated that it had to be left clean or an additional fee could apply. However, they did not explain what cleaning was expected. Was leaving everything tidy and taking out the rubbish enough, or were we also expected to clean the floors? Clearer instructions would have helped. The location is wonderful, the views are beautiful, and the apartment we eventually stayed in was lovely. Initially, we were given an older apartment, but after we raised concerns about the issues we experienced, the hosts moved us to a better one. Overall, our rating mainly reflects the beautiful location and views. Clearer information about the pool temperature, additional charges and check-out requirements would have made the experience much better.

A perfect apartment for a family stay and to explore Malcesine

Liked: The location was amazing, just in the edge of the town centre and with a fantastic view of the castle. The apartment was really comfortable and peaceful. The pool was lovely as were the grounds. The facilities were well thought out and it was great to have the laundry. The staff were very attentive but not in your face at all.

Disliked: Nothing - it was all great.

  Perfect stay in perfect apartments

Liked: Amazing views, perfect location, clean spacious and well equipped. Pool perfect with a shallow section at one end which was great for younger children.

Disliked: On the main road which was busy during the day/early evening. Didn’t notice any sound at night.

Liked: We had a great stay. Apartment was very clean, easy to find and very close to the lake. Our additional requests (for high chair and kettle) were also met without any problems. Would stay again! Thank you for everything.

Liked: beware about the leaving time...very early and not convenient if you like to sleep till 10 am.... the location is fantastic, the view from the lodge is very beautiful. 5 min walk to the cable road. parking for free, could not be better:) many thanks. the swimming pool is great for kids.

Disliked: the pillows are very big and not really comfortable. we had to leave the property in early morning but could keep the car in the garage for free until returned from the excursion.
