Liked: It all depends on what you're expecting. I was looking for a place to stay near the beach. I ended up in an apartment on the fourth floor of a residential building. The apartment itself was clean, modern, and comfortable, and I really can't fault it in that respect. However, I could only catch a glimpse of the sea between the tall buildings, over a rooftop with an air conditioning unit. The beach was just a narrow stretch of coastline, littered with rubbish. So, unfortunately, it didn't live up to my romantic – and probably somewhat naive – expectations at all.

Disliked: The apartment itself was lovely, but I was disappointed with the surroudings.

Liked: The room was really comfortable. The bed was hard to leave in the morning. The staff were super kind and helpful. The location was great for us because we were so close to the Museo Regionale Interdisciplinare di Messina, which was a very important part of our visit.

Clean and nice place to stay in Messina

Liked: Very nice place. It seems to be brand new. The room and bathroom were very nice and so clean! There's also a common area equipped with a coffee machine and a kettle. Our room also had a huge balcony with a nice view. Carmello is very responsive, he gave us all necessary information in advance and was waiting for us when we arrived.
