Liked: Great location. Quick response from the host. Our host was very gracious. Nice large bathroom. We liked that there was a drying rack outside on the balcony. We liked the large common kitchen area. 100% guaranteed convenient parking spot. Wonderful air-conditioning on hot days. We opted out of the housekeeping, but we didn’t needed this. It’s included in the room fee. We needed an ironing board and we reached out to the host and we had one quickly sent to our room. Wonderful pizzeria restaurant within five minutes. Great Wi-Fi connection. There was an on-site young man that helped us with immediate questions and parking. It was nice to have him there.
Disliked: It was a little much to enter a nine digit code to go through the five required doors, this includes the common area. It was very hot while we were staying, and we would have really liked to have a freezer to store ice for our beverages. Only local TV channels available.
Liked: Had a kitchen in my room, easy to check-in for introvert like me 😆, easily accessible to supermarket, good choice of snack choice.
Disliked: Bit uphill, advise you to use bus 20 for getting there
Freshly renovated B&B with kitchen in an ugly building
Liked: The B&B was clean and looked freshly renovated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to cook breakfast/dinner at home. The support from host via Whatsapp was also very helpful and kind. The appartment has roller blinds providing extra security and noise control. The bathroom looked very clean too. There’s a free parking area next to the building and you can also park inside the building gate for €5/night if you don’t find a free slot. As an added bonus: you can pay the tourist tax via link, which i find super convenient.
Disliked: The B&B is located in the outskirts of beautiful Messina in a very old building in need of renovation, on the first floor. So no nice view from the advertising and the building entrance feels a bit scary tbh. A pity such a good property is located in a such an unfortunate building. The hairdryer should be upgraded. It was the inbuilt hairdryer: not strong and only with cold air.

Liked: The place we stayed at was amazing. It’s our third time here with my family, and every time we’ve left very satisfied. Alessandro is a wonderful host — he’s very helpful with everything. If we come again, this will definitely be our place to stay.
