Exceptional
Lovely apartment a little way from city centre
Liked: Beautiful apartment in secluded and gated characterful spot, very clean, spacious and stylish. Fun touches. Local bar with lovely ice cream and pastries, supermarket, bakeries, pharmacy, indoor food market all close by, parking relatively easy. Good facilities, air conditioning, pleasant kitchen diner, sitting room, patio area, washing machine. Nice touches such as coffee pods, tea bags and shower gel in showers. Owner Pierluigi very responsive.
Disliked: One or two items would improve the stay: space in wardrobes or chests of drawers for our own clothing or even a chair, mirrors in bedrooms would be nice. Not enough of some items in kitchen: spoons, tea spoons, small bowls, no wine glasses. Pierluigi responded quickly when we had only 2 mugs and no tea towels, supplying them the same day. The board with pizza and restaurant suggestions needs updating as several of the suggestions are now closed. No restaurants nearby and c.1.4km from the city centre, so a long way to walk for a meal out.

Disliked: Motion detectors everywhere that light up when you turn over on bed. One bathroom downstairs from the bedrooms. One bed room only for little people because the beds are not designed for adults. The slats pulled out. Landlord tried to help and replaced with same.
Liked: Pierluigi was great. He went out of his way to pick us up at the train station. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. There were local buses right around the corner to take us everywhere we needed to go. Easy trip to Taormina.
Pierluigi was an excellent host. The apartment has everything you need and is in a good location
