  Wonderful romantic stay

  Liked: Wonderful stay in the center of the old town. Beautiful traditional room, and very friendly helpful hosts. Breakfast was excellent especially on the roof terrace.

  Really fabulous location, lovely old town. Staff very helpful, couldnt be better

  Liked: The B&B was great - location really exceptional. only small set of stairs to room. very comfy beds, right in the old town - everywhere 5 mins away. easy to park car nearby for free as instructed by Cosima - thanks a million. Breakfast perfect, every morning, all the staff exceptionally friendly. Lovely roof garden. Staff helpful in every way possible.

  Liked: The host was very friendly and gave tips what to visit and do. The appartement was beautiful and very clean. There was even a bottle of wine in the fridge!! Everybody should come here!!

  A comfortable traditional b and b in the heart of the historic centre, serving a very good breakfast

  Liked: The rooms and stairways have lots of character, with arched stone ceilings. Our double room was simply but comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. The airconditioning worked well, even in the very hot weather. You can climb the stairs to a tiny sitting area and up further stairs to a small kitchen area and then up further stairs to a two-level roof terrace, which is quite a common feature in buildings in the historic centre, and gives views over the rooftops and churches of the old town to the sea. A simple but delicious breakfast is served on the roof terrace, with fresh local pastries. The property is located along a narrow, traffic-free, mainly residential street, right in the heart of the historic centre, but is very quiet at night. You are just minutes walk away from historic sights, lovely restaurants and shops, the beach and harbour. The owner is very friendly and helpful with luggage storage etc.

  Disliked: It wasn’t a problem for us, but the property does have a lot of steep, narrow stairs. And, not a criticism of the accommodation as such, but if you are arriving by train at Monopoli station, the accommodation is too far to walk with luggage and there isn’t a bus stop nearby. When we arrived in early afternoon, there were no taxis available from the station and, when we did eventually manage to get a taxi, it cost us €20 to go a few blocks, from where we had to walk the rest of the way, as most vehicles are banned from entering the historic centre.
