  Quaint little B&B by the water in Monopoly, cute little boutique, hotel, close to downtown Monopoli

  Liked: Quaint little hotel by the water, hosts are super nice and helpful, room was clean, had a smart TV, slightly on the small side, but the service was excellent

  A lovely day in a fabulous location

  Liked: Lovely room with a comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and great Seaview

  Disliked: No coffee cups and the plastic ones supplied melted from the hot water coming from the coffee machine!

  Rude throughout, then reported me as a no-show after I had actually stayed

  Disliked: €260 for a very small room. The listing is misleading: the photos suggest a seafront outlook, while what you get is a side view with a partial glimpse of the sea. The bathmat was chewed and torn, the TV an old set with cables hanging from the wall. All photographed. An early check-in was agreed in writing twenty-five days ahead. On the day, with our arrival time known, the room was not ready and we waited fifty minutes outside in forty-degree heat. The host then held the early check-in against us, saying he knew he shouldn’t have let us in. Not a glass of water was offered; everything came from the minibar at a price. Before giving me the room he asked for my credit card as a guarantee and photographed it with his own phone, although the stay was prepaid in full. He then wanted the city tax in cash to avoid the commission; I paid by card only after insisting, and got no receipt. The rudest treatment I have had in any hotel, including being told I am “not even from Puglia”. I slept there and checked out the next morning. Hours later the property reported me as a no-show. I denied it immediately, but the booking was cancelled and flagged as a no-show, and still appears that way in my account. Book elsewhere.

  Lovely and well located B&B - enjoyed our stay here

  Liked: The property is clean and in good condition with comfortable bed and nice furniture. The balcony has a view of the ocean and the room is well air conditioned.

  Disliked: The outside temperature during our stay was 38 - 40 degrees. This extreme heat caused the drains in the bathroom to be smelly.

  I would not recommend this place to anyone - despite the great location you are constantly on edge and feeling extremely

  Liked: The location was great

  Disliked: The couple running this property were extremely rude including their staff. We were spoken to very poorly by both the cleaner and the owner regarding a dirty towel they found in our room. The man came over and flagged the towel in our face asking “look at this” unsure of what he wanted me to respond I asked “what is the problem?” He said you used this to clean your shoes. Which we did not. Upon checking in we were asked to pay a €60 cleaning fee (€20 per day) - mind you I have travelled Europe and Italy many times and have never been asked to pay a cleaning fee. I feel this was unreasonable and very strange considering we were not provided with clean, new towels each day and shower facilities such as body wash were also not restocked each morning. I would only hope that after paying a cleaning fee the least we would receive is fresh towels each morning. The room did not include basic essentials such as a kettle but glasses and cutlery were provided - not sure why as we were asked not to bring outside food or drink into the hotel (also very strange considering they did not provide or offer food) We were also told ‘breakfast was included’ this was actually a voucher which could be redeemed at a local cafe for 1x coffee or juice (shot size) and 1x croissant (I feel this should have also been communicated) On our second night we were woken by extreme heat (27 degrees) in the room as the air conditioning had shut off. It was extremely uncomfortable and almost unsafe as my partner became very faint from the sudden heat - this lasted from 1am- 5am. When we communicated this with the owners in the morning they had zero care, no apology and no accountability. Instead we were spoken to rudely and unacceptably
