  Pretty, very central, but noisey

  Liked: Lovely property in the historical centre handy for monopoli and easy access to walk into old town and port Monopoli and the beaches are very beautiful.

  Disliked: There were pots and crockery left from last visitors and kitchen area was not at all clean I had to wash down the drainer etc when we arrived It is an old property so the electrics reflect that, lots of major appliances running off extension cables. Please be mindful this apartment is in a lively square with restaurants and bars, which is very nice. But what comes with that too is the noise. There was only one night out of the time we were there that it got a bit much. As just when the chatter stopped the cleaners came out. The property has double glazed windows and shutters but it doesn’t stop all the noise, husband reverted to ear plugs so he was ok

  Liked: This was the absolute best apartment—it deserves not just a 10/10, but a 100/10! It was like an apartment-museum, with very friendly hosts. I needed more time to take in all the details—the antique items, the little trinkets, and the large pieces of furniture—it was truly mesmerizing! The apartment had everything—lots of beautiful tableware, coffee, spices, olive oil, and plenty of towels (which can sometimes be an issue in other apartments). It was very clean and tidy; despite the incredible noise on the street in the evening and at night, it was quiet inside with the windows closed and the air conditioner on—we fell asleep in a matter of minutes and didn’t hear a thing. The location is wonderful, and just knowing that you’re living right in the heart of the old town is impressive! In an apartment like this, you really get a sense of the authentic Italian atmosphere!

  Disliked: The only thing that might be a bit of a drawback is the slow internet in the city itself and the Wi-Fi in the apartment. (Evening time especially ) It’s not a problem if you’re there on vacation, but for those who come to work, it might not be very convenient.

  We had a fabulous stay and enjoyed looking out at the busy square

  Liked: Spacious apartment. Fantastic location looking over the square. The arched ceilings gave it the Italian feel.

  Disliked: Unable to see the view from a seated position. The bathroom had a curtain, not a door. The shower had a long but not wide enough curtain. Although very clean, to us it seemed a bit cluttered with older artefacts. The drawers had lots of ‘stuff’ in them and we didn’t know what we should and should not have been using or plates, cutlery, pots and pans.

  Liked: We had a wonderful stay in Monopoli! Lorena, our host, was incredibly helpful, polite, and genuinely friendly. The accommodation was great and surprisingly spacious. The place did get very hot inside during the day, we needed to keep the windows and blinds shut majority of the times, because the AC was not reaching the rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed, which made meals easy and convenient. And the location truly couldn’t be better—just steps away from the heart of Monopoli. Please keep in mind, this is a central location and it gets noisy in the afternoons! If you are a light sleeper - consider bringing ear plugs. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting beautiful Monopoli.

  Disliked: The AC was located in the bathroom and it was barely cooling the other rooms in the apartment.
