  Excellent host and location

  Liked: Franca is an excellent host, providing a wonderful breakfast on a terrace with a spectacular view. Wine and other treats were offered throughout our stay. The location is central and on a busy street in the old town but not noisy at night. The close proximity to the beach and the use of Franca's swimming supplies were great.

  Disliked: The bathroom is tight, especially if you have a little height, but everything works well and renovations are planned.

  Compact, well functioning, apartment in the heart of Monopoli. Good for solo travellers or a small couple. A reasonable

  Liked: Super location handy for the town beaches and the old towns bars and restaurants in a lovely traditional building. It was very well equipped with plates, cutlery, microwave, kettle, bottle opener, well thought through. Nice touch to have fresh fruit and snacks provided.

  Disliked: No instructions for check in were provided and the only person to communicate with only spoke Italian.. she was very friendly and helpful but there was no one there when I arrived and I had to hang around and wait for someone to show up. I’d like to clear up confusion about the bathroom.. it’s a wet room and it works perfectly well as a wet room. It’s small! It would be, otherwise it would be a shower room, it’s not, it’s a wet room. I would say though that they definitely need to invest in a new loo seat.. I’m sure that’ll be fixed before anyone else stays. I don’t think it’s ok to have a toilet seat held together with sellotape even if you were paying half of what you pay here. I was a solo traveller of fairly small proportions.. I can see that if you’re a couple, or particularly tall then it might all feel a bit compact. The roof terrace is great but the stairs are steep, narrow and there’s no handrail.. didn’t bother me but again, this isn’t the place for you if you’re going to be disappointed by a climb!

  Excellent, would recommend

  Liked: The property is even more beautiful and charming than its photos, right on the water at a great swimming spot in the centre of the old town. The terrace is lovely to sit and have a coffee or a drink when the sun goes down, a beautiful family home. Franca is a wonderful host, so kind and helpful, would stay again!
