  Liked: Easy self check-in. Lovely room, quiet overnight despite proximity to a busy road. Excellent location to visit the Cathedral. Amazing breakfast!!

  horrific experience- poor description of property

  Liked: not at all accommodating

  Disliked: we were stranded with no car, horrific location and management is not responding to our request for money return/ we were there for one day only. had to find other accommodations-plus to get there we had to taxi and it was $120- we want our money returned

  Liked: We had a wonderful stay at A Casa di Simona. The accommodation was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of fresh sweet and savory options. The private parking was a big advantage, and the location was convenient for visiting Monreale and Palermo by car. Most of all, Simona and Antonella were fantastic and always ready to help. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

  Great view, good breakfast, decent room, but unpleasant stay

  Liked: Beautiful view, however the door was broken to the patio/view and we were accused of breaking it and then told upon it being fixed not to use the patio. If you like breakfast, the spread was pretty amazing. There were some wrapped food too that appeared each morning but we were unsure if we were allowed to open it and if it was an added cost. There was no one on site or instructions on that. Some foods had prices on them so it was confusing.

  Disliked: There was no washing machine, which we had counted on, as it was listed. The host did not respond to our texts about questions such as parking, local beaches and inner city parking. There was no welcome note or information about the food in the dining room. Some had prices on it so we were unsure what was available to eat The hosts tone in the emails was unpleasant. We had been traveling for close to month and we had never encountered this before.

  Liked: Very nice and clean room. Excellent breakfast choices. The whole checking in/checking out process was remote but worked very well. The owner replied immediately to all WhatsApp messages. The parking is available within the internal courtyard.

  Missing baby equipment – stay not possible with a child

  Liked: The room was clean and there is parking available in front of the property.

  Disliked: Essential baby equipment missing – booking not honored, no refund. We had booked a room for 2 adults and a 1-year-old baby, expecting appropriate facilities for a family stay. Upon arrival, there was no baby cot available in the room. After contacting the owner (there is no on-site reception), we were informed that no solution could be provided and that our child could sleep in the bed with us, which was not a viable option. Under these conditions, we had to leave approximately 30 minutes after arrival and book another accommodation at the last minute, with the additional cost and inconvenience this implies, especially when travelling with a young child. Despite this, our request for a refund was denied and our subsequent messages remained unanswered, even though the accommodation could not be used under normal conditions for a family stay. It is also worth noting that the property is quite far from the center of Monreale (around a 30-minute walk with elevation) and located just above a main road, with noticeable traffic noise in the room. We would therefore recommend that families with young children carefully check the availability of essential equipment before booking.
