  Liked: The hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from the main shopping street and an area with plenty of cafés and restaurants. If being close to the train station is important to you, the location can be quite convenient. However, the surrounding area was rather disappointing. The streets were quite dirty and littered, and the neighborhood can be fairly noisy. Breakfast is served outside the hotel at a nearby place, which is an interesting concept, but the breakfast itself is very basic — just a coffee and a croissant. The room was simple, and unfortunately, several things were broken or partly damaged and could use some maintenance. On the positive side, coffee was available at the hotel and regularly replenished, which was a very nice touch — especially for having a coffee in the morning. Complimentary water was also provided. Overall, it can be a reasonable option if proximity to the train station is a priority, but the hotel and the surrounding area could definitely benefit from some improvements.

  Liked: The communication with the host was amazing. He was very prompt to reply to any questions. The room was as described. We were given a coupon for a coffee and croissant at a cafe around the corner, but didn’t have time to go by on the way out.

  Disliked: The room itself wasn’t in the actual building for the address we had. We had to walk across the street and down a little ways to another building where we were guided to an elevator for our room on the 5th floor and asked if we had 20 cent€ for the elevator ride (each way, each time). We only had 1 coin. The WiFi was not working during our one night stay which cut us off communication from loved ones back home. The host was very apologetic and stated there was an outage in the area and did not charge us the €5.50 per person vat tax for the night and gave us a handful of coins for the elevator.

  Some problems

  Liked: Good location. Comfortable bed.

  Disliked: Receptionist took 45 minutes to check me into my room which was in a building across the street. The lift required money in order to work and the receptionist didn’t give me enough to use the lift for my whole stay. Breakfast was just a coffee and croissant.

  Liked: A great studio apartment with access directly from the street. It was roomy and spotlessly clean.

  Disliked: The only very minor complaint was the aircon didn't work very well. It took a long time to cool the room but did the job eventually.

  Stylish room in great location for exploring the old town

  Liked: Stylish, secure room with spacious ensuite in a large, old building in a great location for exploring the old town. Pastry & coffee for breakfast served in small café five minutes walk away. Friendly staff.
