  Superb customer service but room a bit disappointing

  Liked: Wonderful customer service from Antonia! Our plane was very, very late, but she waited long after check-in should have closed, to book us in. If I could give her more than 10 out of 10 for her kindness and helpfulness, I would do so. Thank you!

  Disliked: Our room did not have any windows (at least, we could not find any). It felt dark and airless. It may be that if we had booked for a longer stay than one night, we would have been given a nicer room.

  Liked: Friendly staff, very good location.

  Disliked: Although street-front, not easy to find, might ring at the wrong entrance. Room was quite humid and a/c too old to handle it. Kitchen sink/faucet was not usable and need repairs, splashing all over.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel stays we have experienced. The staff were nice and helpful, and I have no complaint about them personally. However, the condition of the room was extremely poor and made our one-night stay very uncomfortable. The air conditioning/ventilation was not working properly. The room was extremely humid, the air felt heavy, and there was a very strong smell of humidity. Both my wife and I were coughing throughout the night, could barely sleep, and felt sick afterward. We were genuinely uncomfortable breathing in the room. The shower area was extremely small and uncomfortable. The kitchen faucet was also very poorly designed — when we opened it, water splashed everywhere, making it difficult to use. The electric kettle was visibly dirty, and when we tried heating water several times, the water became white/cloudy. We did not feel comfortable using it. There was a window in the room, but unfortunately it opened toward the interior of the hotel rather than outside. When we opened it, we could hear people talking at reception, so it wasn’t a practical solution for getting fresh air. The room also had very harsh white lighting, which made the atmosphere feel cold and depressing. The curtains were unattractive and added to the overall poor appearance of the room. We only stayed for one night, so we didn’t have enough time to go through a complaint process and request another room. If we had been staying longer, we definitely would have requested a room change. The staff were kind, but unfortunately good staff cannot compensate for a room that is this uncomfortable and poorly maintained. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. We couldn’t sleep properly, both became unwell afterward, and several basic facilities in the room were either inadequate or unusable. We would not stay here again.
