  Liked: The hotel is a bit dated but breakfast in the morning takes place in a huge banquet type facility and there's room for everybody with different food options. Also sitting on her balcony in the afternoon was a delight because we caught a full glimpse of the castle across from us and all of the boats in the small Bay. Made for a great walk and the street in front of the hotel was wonderful for an evening stroll with a number of local restaurants nearby

  Disliked: The hotel itself could use a refresh especially the carpets in the hallways which were terrible. Overall the room was very nice and of a good size but the bathrooms could also use a bit of work and updating as well. Also while the hotel area is very nice it does take a 30-year-old taxi cab to get into the center of the city where most of the action is or an over 30 minute walk so be wary of then

  Pretentious, expensive and not worth,old facilities

  Disliked: It is an old hotel the pictures on booking do not reflect the reality of the hotel. Hotel is dated and not a 4 stars indeed. My room was dirt, did not have any bed side lamps and part of the room was in the dark as it had no bed side lamps or any other light fixture. The sockets plugs were old without any ins ones. Bathroom was very dated with old bath and a shower head only. The toilet paper was so bad that we had to buy our own, in order not to be scratched all the time when we used. At breakfast the waiters were busy doing their own things, I asked an espresso to one and he said you can ask to my colleague when you see one. The table linen was stained, and I overheard a waitress saying to another “”just put the serviette over the stain don’t worry, about changing the table linen’.
