Visit Naples Stay at Regina Eat great food!
Liked: This was our first overnight visit to Napoli (only by cruise before) and we were a little hesitant because of the reputation the city he has for being a bit gritty and dangerous. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Yes there is graffiti, but it is part of the charm of the city. We stayed 5 nights. The people are wonderful. The food is amazing. Needless to say the best pizza in the world. We felt safe everywhere and it is probably the most authentic large city in all of Italy. Now let’s get to Regina. For first time visitors the best place to stay is definitely the historic center. It is the beating heart of Naples. Regina is at the center of the bull’s-eye for location. It is located on Spaccanapoli, the iconic street that divides the city. Regina is within a 10 minute radius of the historic center, the Spanish Quarter, via Toledo (the shopping street), Pignasecca market, underground Naples (highly recommended) and the metro that will take you anywhere else. It is definitely the place to stay for first time visitors to Naples. The area around the apartment is totally safe and lively. The apartment itself is meticulously maintained. It has charm and is fully appointed. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils for small meals. But we only ate breakfast and lunch there. So many wonderful restaurants are nearby within walking distance for dinner, so you don’t need to cook. The apartment is on the second story, and there is a wonderful small balcony that overlooks the bustling street below. Great for people watching in the morning with coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine. Now let’s talk about the host. Gennaro is a Rockstar! He lives in the building and is totally communicative from the moment you make your reservation. His check-in was comprehensive. Everything you need is in the apartment and anything else you need is just a phone call away. He responds within minutes. It is no wonder everyone gives Regina a strong 10! Gennaro treat you like...
Disliked: It is only a one floor walk up, but there is a narrow staircase and no lift for those who may have difficulty navigating stairs.
My stay at the Queen of Spaccanapoli was more than I could have expected. I highly recommend you choose this place. When
Liked: The property is very comfortable, clean, located in an excellent area. The property is very conveniently located to the metro and multiple other attractions in the area. Gennaro is an excellent host. The host are always asking if there’s anything that they can do. Oh, and did I mention that there’s restaurants right outside your door? Many to choose from.
Disliked: The property is a 10 all the way around. There’s nothing I did not like about it.
Liked: If you want to stay in the heart of a vibrant city, this is the right place for you. We were greeted warmly by the hosts making us feel as members of big Italian family. They helped with the luggage, general info and arranging a taxi. We even got small gifts when we left. The property is cozy with beautiful balcony and is very clean.
Disliked: If you are looking for some quite and tranquility we would recommend to stay outside historic center. Shower cabin a bit tiny.
Felt like home in the heart of the city
Liked: Wonderful: the location, the apartment, the host - everything! This was probably the best accommodation I have ever booked. Gennaro is an exceptionally attentive host, always available and thoughtful about every little detail you might need during your stay. The location couldn’t be more perfect: right in the center, close to everything, and yet I always felt completely safe. It was also ideal for traveling with my little dog, who felt at home straight away. The apartment was spotlessly clean - big compliments to the cleaning! Just wow. Thank you so much for everything!
Disliked: Everything was perfect
Amazing apartment in the heart of Naples
Liked: The apartment is incredible, and the host is very helpful and friendly. It's beautifully decorated, well-furnished, bright, and has a well-equipped kitchen, and we found everything we needed. It's truly unique compared to the accommodations we usually stay in. I'm grateful for Gennaro's helpfulness, who even surprised us with a sweet souvenir from Naples.
Disliked: Everything ok!
