Fabulous
Liked: Everything was perfect. The host is the most amazing, kind and helpful person. If I come to Olbia, I will stay again here for sure. The property is a short walking distance to the city center. The room was well equipped with all you can ask for. I did not see a property that would be cared for with such attention to every detail, but here it is. Thank you for all your help.
Liked: Casa Solmes is an amazing accommodation, near to big supermarkets, bus and train station stops. Easy to go away to most of the Costa Esmeralda Beaches (by car or bus) we used only bus during our stay and its really worked. It is only 10min walking to the main restaurants streets. Daily cleaning done in the rooms, with coffee, croissants and biscuits reposition. Big room and bathroom. Amazing staffs. I do really recommend Casa Solmes for Olbia stay.
Liked: Daily room cleaning, fresh towels, and complimentary coffee and croissants.
Disliked: The shower is missing a wall/panel, leaving it open while taking a shower, which causes water to splash onto the floor. The balcony door is not properly secured at the top and leans out when opened. The toilet cannot be flushed at night, as if there is no water pressure.
The mattress definitely needs to be replaced with a new one
Liked: On the positive side, the location is good - the city centre is about a 15-minute walk away.
Disliked: Unfortunately, our stay was not as comfortable as we had hoped. The biggest issue was the extremely uncomfortable, worn-out mattress. It was visibly sagging and had clearly lost its shape and support. Every movement of the person sleeping next to you created a wave-like motion across the entire bed. As a result, we barely got any sleep. The mattress definitely needs to be replaced with a new one. The condition of the bathroom was also disappointing. The bidet was leaking, and apparently, instead of fixing it, the staff had simply placed a towel under the pipes. Additionally, the sink was installed too high, making it uncomfortable to use.
The perfect guest house
Liked: We spent the first week of October there. When we arrived late at night, there was croissant and tea, water in the fridge comfort us after a 9 hour travel. The bathroom was great, well equipped, loved the pillows(35cm x 75cm) on the double sized mattress. The room had a balcony and an air conditioner so we could enjoy the morning coffee in the rising sun, and the perfect temperature, as it was still 28 celsius. The cleaning professional cleaned our room completely, changed the towels, filled up the toiletterie and amenities. This was the perfect guest house
Disliked: Note, that the traffic can be noisy, so keep your window(s) closed, it is soundproof.
Good place to stay
Liked: Good value for the money, clean, good parking spaces available on the street nearby, comfortable
Disliked: Weak shower water pressure, the balcony would have needed a bit of a revamp as it looked neglected
