Exceptional
Small hotel in Padua
Liked: Very comfortable and clean. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast was plentiful and could accommodate gluten free.
Liked: Lovely spacious modern style room under the roof. Excellent bathroom The breakfast is served by the staff. Nice range of options and what we had was very good We very much appreciated being able to use the parking space (EUR 10 per day)
The focus was on the staff rather than the guests, but small changes could make the stay pleasant
Liked: I think the concept of supporting people with disabilities is very commendable. They were all very helpful and friendly, and keen to make a good impression. Everything was very clean and neat.
Disliked: I had the impression that most of the thought had been given to how it works for the staff rather than the guest. The key staff were probably well trained in dealing with people with handicaps, but without much experience in the hotel business. This was mostly visible in the number of small things that would have been easy to get right if somebody had really thought about it. We only hd a small roof window with a blind, but the strap to close/open it was fixed on the wrong side of the window and every time you entered the bathroom you almost got strangled. The light in the bathroom worked with a sensor, but we never found out where it was. If you were taking a shower, the light would suddenly go out and you are left in complete darkness. Why not have a normal switch? There were a lot of switches but for no good use. The other light in the bathroom above the sink could be turned of from outside the bathroom (rather than next to the sink), but we found this out only at the end of the stay. The night lamp had both a switch on the wall and on the cable which is unnecessary. Instead, they could have provided another socket so you could charge your laptop or something else (it was great to have USB-A socket though). The ceiling light was directed to the bed, but you had to close your eyes because it was so bright. But it was so high up that you could not adjust it. I'm very sympathetic to these concepts working well, but they erred to much on the side of the staff. If a staff member had only stayed in the room for one night, he or she would very quickly have picked up the small things that need to work better for a pleasant stay.
Great location and comfortable B&B in the lovely city of Padova
Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, it was quiet, near the center of town and next to a good restaurant. It was a training facility for adults with developmental delays who helped serve breakfast and other tasks, a nice bonus. I would happily stay here again.
Disliked: For a town full of wonderful fruit, the fruit at breakfast was unripe.
Great stay without the craziness of Venice
Liked: Dadi Home was easy to access from the train station and centrally-located to important areas in town - chapels, Basilicas, museums, and squares etc. We felt safe walking around town and to and from meals. The front desk ladies were helpful and accommodating in answering questions and finding help (arranging an early morning taxi to the train station, etc). The employees who served our breakfast and cleaned the rooms did an incredible job and were knowledgeable and kind. Very sweet.
Disliked: Can’t think of anything.
Nice room
Liked: The bed was very large and comfortable The room is very nice and the bathroom was perfectly clean
Disliked: We had to pay for early check-in (13h instead of 15h) and late check out (13h instead of 10h30), it was 60€ in total which feels a bit steep for a few hours, but we needed that so no regrets!
