Liked: Air conditioned, clean, comfy bed with mini fridge. Loved spacious rooms and high ceilings. A Bridgerton feel.
Disliked: Flight of stairs. Staff helped with luggage.
I would not stay there again
Liked: I appreciated the hotel staff at the pool. Anna at reception was very sweet and helpful.
Disliked: Everyone else that reception besides Anna was extremely rude and un accommodating. The beds were ridiculously uncomfortable. It was not clear that I would’ve been offsite and not in the hotel. There was no one there to bring our bags so I had to walk half a kilometre in the sweltering heat with five luggage. When I try to charge a meal to my room, I was not allowed because I was at the offsite location. Unacceptable I was treated like a second-place citizen because they decided to put me in a facility offsite

Liked: I liked everything about the royal hotel it was awesome
Disliked: The fact that there was a separate building and people had to bring their own luggage there.
Pleasant hotel stay
Liked: Anna at the reception was extremely helpful, caring and professional.
Disliked: Booking.com confirmed a set of rooms and the hotel messaged me that one of the days wasn’t available after all. There were a few mix ups of the rooms but Anna was amazing at fixing everything.
Liked: Hotel grounds and pool area are very nice. Which definitely saved our stay. The wait staff (Alfredo, Matteo) are very nice and helpful and cleaning service was good. Great restaurants and bakeries in the area.
Disliked: If,when booking your stay, you receive message that you will be accommodated in separate building 400m away from the hotel… PLEASE NOTE: 1st checkin is at the main hotel. They do not provide a shuttle service so you will have to walk 1/2km in to get to building with your luggages. Once you get to “Villa” 1st floor is 2 flights of stairs up and 2nd floor is 3 flights up so be prepared to bring your luggages up a couple of flights minimum with no assistance. Not ideal for anyone who has problems with mobility. Our room very small. Our 2 luggages were tight and 2nd floor has slanted roof so you may be hitting head at times. Guest of the villa at the Hotel Royal, pool and the pool side bar are at the main building and they do not allow you to charge any drinks or food to your room because you are not staying at main hotel. Which makes no sense since you are a guest at the Hotel Royal. Hotel needs to fix that. Cash not accepted make sure you have credit card handy. These annoyances is what can make stay uncomfortable.
