  We loved the hotel’s location, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful

  Disappointing as this was our most expensive stay in our 2 weeks in Italy

  Liked: Great setting

  Disliked: The air conditioning broke down on our first night. The staff did nothing about it until we made a fuss after a second night of no sleep. The manager then purchased a portable air conditioning unit - which worked ok on the third night but was very noisy. In the end we negotiated that they paid for 2 meals that we had in the restaurant as compensation. The biggest issue was the poor communication. I think if we had not made a fuss they would not have done anything to rectify the situation. They also continued to rent out the rooms but didn’t inform the incoming guests that the air conditioning was not working.

  Very good

  Liked: It is nice, but it is rather the restaurant with few rooms upstairs. There is not much to see or to do beside cute plaza with few small shops and little beach in the front. Be careful when ordering dishes which are not in the menu, ask for pice upfront.

  Superb

  Liked: We loved the location and the restaurant was excellent. The people who worked there were accommodating and nice. It is in a beautiful neighborhood. the outdoor area feels like a movie set resort.

  Disliked: It is near the ocean and therefore damp. The bathroom had a musty odor. The room was smaller than anticipated. But the location and the vibe of the place made up for this.
