  Liked: We had the best time at Don Mario. The staff is amazing! It was a luxury experience in a boutique hotel, exactly what we were looking for. They also have the best sunset view, great location.

  A nightmare serenaded by tasteless, loud rock and pop music

  Liked: Breakfast was adequate.

  Disliked: What I disliked was not being able to sleep until after 1 am due to extremely loud music coming from speaker in front of room door. It was like being above a discotheque from 3pm- 1am. I also did not like how the owner owner responded when I complained about the music. His response was “Leave,” which we did. We are world travelers and this was the worst experience we’ve had in the 25 times we’ve traveled to Italy. My recommendation is to not spend 1€ on this hotel which is owned by someone with no regard for the comfort of his paying guests. If you are a non-smoker, this hotel has ashtrays all around the pool which means you can’t avoid the smokers. For about €350/night, I would expect more. The staff tried to help but were powerless about the music or smoking. Booking.com needs to remove this hotel from its listing.
