  Overpromises & underdelivers

Liked: The property is very centrally located, in the middle of the old city center. The apartment is clean and equipped with all the basics a tourist may need. The slippers and toiletries were a nice touch.

Disliked: The description of the apartment is misleading - there is NO REAL AC (split unit). Instead, there's an inefficient floor cooling system and a huge noisy ventilator in the hallway, turning on randomly during day and night, running for hours, and impossible to turn off. I wouldn't recommend it for summer, as the cooling is unreliable and can only be fully controlled by the host, who will tell you that setting it to less than 26 Celsius is not permitted by Italian law. A torture, particularly during the night. Contrary to the listing, there is no 24/7 reception, no bathrobes, and no city view (neighboring rooftops and inner courtyard instead). Avoid if you want a good nights sleep - there's a lot of noise from the outside (alley with restaurants downstairs, noisy AC fans just outside the window). Host is not present on site, so if you have issues prepare to do a LOT of texting.

Highly recommend, the perfect location to visit the beautiful city of Perugia

Liked: We loved our stay at BF Glam Apartments! The perfect place to stay in Perugia. Located centrally meant we could step out of the door and immediately feel the vibe of what was a very vibrant, but may be a slightly understated, city of Italy. The apartment was very spacious for 3 people, tidy, well equipped kitchen and recommendations for local restaurants were offered, with discounts attached. We were late in arriving but the host was very accommodating and responsive in communication. After travelling for 3 weeks, this accommodation stood out for the above reasons but also, breakfast was provided by sending us to the next door’s bakery, where we could choose what to have and then enjoy eating it within the authentic surroundings. (Very different to other ‘breakfast’ options that were offered from other booking.com establishments.) Such a simple gesture, but very much appreciated.

Disliked: Just to be aware that the public parking was a good 10-15 minute walk uphill (elevators were included!) However, as we learnt over the weeks of our stay, this was fairly common in most of the historic areas to avoid driving through any ZTL zones.
