  Disappointing experience

  Liked: Nice position

Disliked: Unfortunately, our stay was a very disappointing experience. It rained all day when we arrived, and the apartment was extremely cold. The heating did not work, and the only way to warm up the place was by using the air conditioning unit. However, it made an awful noise, smelled terrible, and was full of dust, making it impossible to use. The hosts offered to have it cleaned the following day, but we declined because we were going to be out all day and did not want any further disturbance during our stay. Because there was no proper heating, the towels would not dry and quickly developed an unpleasant smell. The hairdryer was also not working. On top of everything, I woke up feeling very ill with a bad cold. What should have been a beautiful and unforgettable holiday turned into a very unpleasant experience. This was the trip during which I was proposed to, making it an incredibly special occasion for us. It is heartbreaking that the poor conditions at the accommodation contributed to ruining such an important moment. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this accommodation based on our experience. Basic amenities such as proper heating and a functioning hairdryer should be provided, especially when the weather is cold and rainy.

Liked: Everything is new and clean in the flat. There’s a small kitchen in there. Location is good - close to the beach and town centre. There’s a nice pizzeria 2 minutes walk from the place (with pizza to take away from €7) as well as supermarkets nearby. It’s easy to get to Portofino and chinque terre. Among all those places Santa Margarita Ligure is the most beautiful.

Disliked: Some minor things: not very comfortable pillows, not enough toilet tissue (had to buy some more), smell of cigarette smoke from the window, so you can’t sleep with open windows. Instructions on collecting the keys might be more precise.

  Exceptional

Liked: Well-located, comfortable apartment with proper air-conditioning. Very clean on arrival. Few minutes from the coast, train-station and main bus stop. Management is responsive and communicated all important details clearly beforehand.

Disliked: Only real complaint is that the Wi-Fi could have been faster. Then again, it shouldn't be too big of an issue if you spend most of your time at the beach/in town (which is likely the case if you booked)

The ROOM was exceptionally small. Staying in such a small space was difficult for a week

  Liked: Modern facilities

Disliked: Size of the room. Lacking basic things like sharp knife for cutting. No wine glasses etc
