  Does not meet basic standards

  Disliked: This 3 star hotel did not meet basic standards. After getting into the room, the Photos on booking.com did not match the room we booked. This is a common complaint from reviews, that the rooms do not look like the photos online. There was no interior design or decoration as shown on the photos. The rooms had the vibe of a hospital waiting room or student hostel. In addition, the room had these negatives: - Dirty filthy floor - No soundproofing, can hear cars, music and neighbours talking through the walls - Black stains on hand towels - Bathroom window handle broken - Bed mattress so uncomfortable, has springs, feel every spring in your back, pain next morning - Spider webs and dust on ceiling - Smells like urine in the toilet - Toilet was not easy to sit on as the seat did not match bowl size. - Shower had mold, therefore we did not shower - Breakfast variety was very limited and poor, uncooked cold bacon and sausage - Grounds are poorly maintained - We had the worst sleep ever and have back problems In the morning, we notified the reception of all the problems and they could not find a solution. They only said that they can change rooms and try to make it cleaner and they could not find any alternative to make the old beds more comfortable or softer. We then asked to check out earlier, but they wanted to charge a penalty and we found that very insulting and unfair as this is not the standard that any guest should have to experience. In addition, the hotel charged us more for the one night, we booked a double room with twin beds, not a triple room as charged. This hotel needs inspection and updates to conform with guests expectations and quality. As a result of all this stress, we had to check out and find a hotel the same day and it was very expensive as it was last minute and high season. We ended up having to pay €1000 EUR at the new hotel, which was double the price we originally paid.
