Very good
Worse hotel ever
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Rude staff. I had to wait 30min for someone to open the reception as there wasn’t anyone in there. Then the guy who checked me in was angry because I didn’t speak Italian. Finally managed to check in and the room was dirty. Filled with long hairs (there was even hair between my cover and sheets in bed, not to mentioned the bathroom!). We finally go to bed and we couldn’t sleep as the room is on the first floor in a busy road. Cars, buses and even trains (the train station is 2min walk from the hotel) non stop until around 1am which when we could fall asleep. Thank god this was just a one day stay. Oh, there’s no WiFi either. Never again!!!!!
Good location, clean room, make sure you arrange a defined check in time, or you may find yourself stuck
Liked: Very very close to the beach and restaurants/lidos. Close to the station. Spacious and open. Some of the rooms have a view of the water, ours did. Clean room, water provided, drying rack provided.
Disliked: We were charged city tax of 2€, not the 1€ as is listed. Staff kindly let us drop our bags early and then later gave us 10 minutes notice to check in or we would have to wait for another 4 hours (till 7:30pm) to access our room. We pushed back because we were across town walking more than 10 minutes away. After a robust phone interaction the host agreed to wait a little longer and we walked over and checked in. Host is a busy person, be clear in your communication across any language barriers and make sure you arrange a specific check in time, as it is unclear that this needs to be arranged prior. As a compensation for passionate backlash from this misunderstanding we were offered a discounted extra nights stay which we weren’t able to accept due to other bookings.

Exceptional
Liked: Wonderful apartment, three minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the train station. Antonello (the owner) is incredible, told us where the best places to have lunch are, where to go to see the surrounding area, to the neighboring villages, to Sicily. The room is clean, everything works, there is a small refrigerator.
Disliked: There is no kettle or any accessories for it in the room.

Liked: Everything was wonderful! Just perfect! 😃 Absolutely ideal place to stay in Scilla! And so close to the sea and the beach. Wow! 🤩😍 Communication with Antonello was so great! Thanks a lot! We will definitely come back again:)

Disliked: We were relocated in a different house without advance notice We requested two single beds, the alternative room had only one, I endup sleeping in the kitchen on a portable bed
