Exceptional
A great place to stay away from the madding crowds, but close enough to be convenient
Liked: De Maria House was the perfect spot to explore the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and all the beautiful beaches nearby. We parked our rental car as the roads were too narrow and crazy, but the bus stop is right outside the property and took us everywhere we needed to go without stress. It was a wonderfully quiet and comfortable place to base ourselves, out of the crazy busy tourist areas but close enough to be very convenient. We also loved our little balcony to dine al fresco in the evening.
Disliked: They could up their breakfast a little bit; the coffee was unfortunately a bit too tepid most of the time, and the breakfast could be improved upon. But you can get custom eggs for a small fee.

Disliked: Very nice room and atmosphere. Location is a little outside the mainstream. We had a rented car and did not want to pay 35-40 eur per day for hotel parking in Sorrento. So we took De Maria with free parking and used the bus to get to Sorrento.
Surprisingly nice comfortably large room with very helpful staff
Liked: Clean, tidy and expansive room which was excellent value for money. Staff were very helpful especially Josey.
Disliked: Santa Agata is inland and approx 10 km from Sorrento.

Liked: We stayed for five nights at this property in the village of Sant'Agata, located above Sorrento. It is run by a lovely, very welcoming family; the place is clean and well-organized, and they are always ready to help with any question or issue. We also booked speedboat tours to Capri, Amalfi, and Positano through them—departing from the nearby marina—which included pick-up from the property and drop-off after the tour. In addition to breakfast, you can also enjoy dinner with wine (by prior arrangement); the mother/grandmother prepares the food, cakes, and desserts, while her three children handle the management—sometimes with help from the grandchildren—and, of course, the lovely Josie, who is there every day and has become part of the family. There is free on-site parking and an elevator for luggage. The property is located about 25 minutes above Sorrento, so it is best to arrive by car to make getting around easier... We really enjoyed our stay there a pleasant, family-friendly place..
