Fabulous
It was a quaint stay
Liked: The property was clean all over. The balcony view and breeze was refreshing. The lounge to sit and have a drink. The pool area was clean and pretty to lay out and read. Most of the staff were nice. They did change my room per my request due to the noise outside. There was no AC so I had to leave the window open.
Disliked: The property did not provide shuttle to take you into downtown Sorrento nor their little town. There was a lot of uphill to get back to the hotel. Their dining area looks like a Lunchroom. They should decorate it to look cozy and hide the cafeteria look. I would have loved to have a coffee pot in the room.
Liked: All, the location, the structure, the poll
Disliked: Only small point is the dining room that could be kept with doors open in balcony when there are many guests, so to reduce the noise otherwise food was good and service, waiters very busy but always very kind!! Kudos
Overall good staying experience
Liked: Panoramic, 180-degree views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Being up in the hills means the air is fresh, quiet, and noticeably cooler than down in Sorrento. The rooms and the entire property are spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The seasonal outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by lush gardens, providing a highly relaxing environment.
Disliked: While the elevation provides great views, it is quite a winding drive up the mountain. The air conditioning system was not working well and the room was not cool and comfortable enough due to temperature.
O Solo Mio is a wonderful Italian cultural experience
Liked: I got to experience this hotel through Exottica travel and am forever grateful! This hotel is identified as superior by Exottica and they are correct! It is quite a drive up the hill, but with an experienced driver and the incredible views, it is so worth it. We were on the third floor and had a lovely balcony and view. the room and the bathroom were spacious, especially for Europe. The tile throughout the hotel is beautiful and inviting. Candida greeted us when we got there and was so very helpful with giving directions into the adjacent village. You’ll need to get a car or a driver to go down into Sorrento, but we were going with our tour group (to Sorrento) and the village ultimately felt so much more traditional and personal with a true Italian cultural experience! We had delicious food and friendly service! I heard from others that the restaurant at the hotel was OK but we did not get to experience it and I was OK with that since the village experience was organic and exceptional so it was nice to be in very close walking distance. The pool at the hotel was absolutely lovely and while we were there for three nights, we only got to experience it once because it is not open very late. So definitely try to enjoy it before 6:30. The grounds are beautiful, and there were lots of photo opportunities. Definitely a wonderful and unique experience.
Great hotel, spotless and very comfortable
Liked: Excellent hotel! Very clean, with comfortable mattresses and large beds. The room was cozy, and the overall experience was outstanding. Highly recommended!

Liked: Just returned and had a fabulous stay at this hotel. From booking in and receiving a warm welcome plus a lovely supper made up in our room for our late arrival. A beautiful sea view room 400 with a balcony overlooking the Monastery. We were half board and food was delicious and restaurant staff were brilliant. Veronica and Candida on the front desk were great with local info and the hotel bus into Sorrento was really useful and had a lovely driver. WiFi was amazing, lovely showers and clean rooms! Hotel grounds and pool well maintained and beautiful! The local village just a 5 minute walk had some great shops, restaurants and an amazing Gelato parlour called Roxy’s. All in all a great holiday thanks 🙏
