  Perfect position & comfortable stay in wonderful Taormina!

  Liked: Lovely hosts Claudio (whom I met) …and his charming wife Laura (with whom I spoke). Always contactable too. Superbly positioned “mini-house!” 😄 (Safe, secure & friendly area for single travellers too.) If one wishes to cook a simple meal, all the basic equipment / supplies are provided. (EVOO, Balsamic vinegar, salt etc are provided, along with coffee & sugar etc). …But why would you, when so many fabulous restaurants and cafes, are literally outside your door! But the option remains, for you to do so.😄 I was not expecting “self check-in”…& especially via WhatsApp messaging. I assumed I would be met by the host, as suggested by the co-ordination of arrival time. So this initially caused a communication hiccup/issue…but was resolved with the host greeting me onsite. (Many Australians increasingly do not use services like WhatsApp…due “trust issues” online.) TAORMINA is divine! I hope to return!

  Disliked: The coffee-maker, I know is an authentic “Italian touch” …but it is messy to use when one is a busy tourist! So I only used it only once. A French press or Nespresso type machine would have been appreciated (especially by those who prefer a “long” coffee). A list/guide of the English-language TV channels would be a much-needed and welcome addition for guests.

  Cute little apartment in the heart of Toarmina

  Liked: Perfect location, perfect little apartment and good value for money

  Disliked: The only thing is lack of outside space but we knew when we booked it so didn’t impact us

  Liked: Very cosy, clean and well positioned place to stay in Taormina - close to the amphitheater and not far away from the funivia. Friendly host, responsive and helpful. A bit noisy until midnight and should be expected, but there are more pros than cons overall. Totally would recommend!

  Liked: It is very clean and quiet. It is beside a restaurant that was playing music but once inside, we couldn't hear it at all. Very nice!

  Liked: What good fortune finding this house! Fantastic location right next to Main Street. Beautiful, comfortable & excellently equipped. Very comfy bed & pillows we loved it! Laura has thought of everything to make a stay perfect. Thank you so much

  Great location in a charming town

  Liked: A flight of stairs up and you are in the middle of the main tourist area. Really enjoyed the beautiful town and many excellent restaurants. The room is compact but nicely furnished, although a few too many vases, fake plants and knickknacks for my taste. I’m a solo traveler so had enough room; a couple would be challenged to find space for a 2nd suitcase. Bathroom is compact but modern and plenty of hot water in the shower. Kitchenette looked very functional—I would have made coffee but creamer wasn’t provided.

  Disliked: Strongly advise not arriving at the train station after dark like I did—the station was deserted, no taxi and the bus had stopped running. Walking up to town where Casa Cleone is would be very difficult and dangerous 2o to steep, windy road with speeding cars and no street lights or sidewalks. I ended up walking about 500 ft to a pizza place and the guy there was able to call a taxi to drive me up to town. Laura, the Casa Cleone owner, speaks limited English so she had a friend who is bilingual meet me and walk me to Casa Cleone which is on a non-driving alley. I would never have found the place on my own, especially since it was dark.
