  The perfect place to stay in Taormina

  Liked: A beautiful and calm place to stay in Taormina with a stunning view from of Isola Bella. Great for swimming and snorkeling with easy access to the historic sites of Taormina.

  Never again at your resort

  Disliked: The way you have to make dinner reservations is ridiculous. Telling guest there is no more room and you go to restraunt yo find many tables empty.

  Nearly Perfect

  Liked: Almost all the staff execept one were amazing, friendly and very kind and helpful.

  Disliked: First night at restaurant the waiter was uninterested, knew we had ordered scampi but doubled the order and served and charged us for expensive langoustine. Not a great first impression.

  Great for beach access, tough for town

  Liked: Initial greeting and tour was great, good parking, help with luggage, response from front desk for requests for taxi service, supplies, room issues. The location is beautiful, but distant from the old town where the main restaurants and shopping are, requiring a taxi, bus, or cable car to get there. Taxi to old town is 25 euros each way, cable car is 15 euros per person round trip, or 8 each way. Beach front chairs and umbrellas were readily available for all guests.

  Disliked: I'm contrast to front desk staff, the service of the staff at breakfast was disappointing. Requests for coffee were very long in getting it. Self serve buffet was readily available, but on arrival, we were told we could request eggs/ omelet. On request, it was not delivered after an hour, so we just left. Most importantly, a number of the breakfast service staff were decidedly unfriendly, telling us to " just sit down" when we asked about coffee. We would have been happy to self serve coffee, but that was unavailable. We had a room with a jacuzzi on a patio with a sliding glass door. It was almost impossible to open the door. Response was prompt to come and use WD40, which helped initially but the issue was still a problem. Housekeeping staff didn't remove dirty dishes, empty trash cans, or replace toilet paper, although with a call to the front desk, they provided it. All in all, not a 5 star experience, but definitely 5 star prices.
