  Liked: The staff was incredibly nice and helpful! We felt very welcome, the view from the room was stunning and the location was brilliant! The villa is very charming.

  Disliked: Some of the facilities in the room were old and not working very well- a lot of the light bulbs were out so it was a bit dark in the evenings. The room was a bit smaller than we expected.

  A wonderful stay in the heart of Taormina, with stunning views of Mount Etna, authentic charm

  Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Gaia! The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of Taormina's beautiful old town, surrounded by cobblestone streets, winding stone steps, and so much Sicilian charm. One of our favourite things was having a balcony overlooking Mount Etna. We were lucky enough to see it smoking during our stay, which was quite a sight! It was lovely to sit outside and take in the view. Everything was so close, with wonderful restaurants just a short walk away and the main street always bustling with people, shops and cafés. We loved wandering through the old town, exploring the little streets and soaking up the atmosphere. There was so much to see and do, and we really enjoyed being right in the middle of it all. What made our stay particularly memorable was how welcome we felt. Josephine was genuinely one of the warmest and friendliest hosts we met during our entire trip to Italy. She was so lovely to deal with and made us feel right at home. Laura was just as friendly and welcoming. Those personal touches made staying at Villa Gaia such a pleasure. We have such fond memories of our time in Taormina, and Villa Gaia was a big part of that. We'd happily stay here again and hope to return one day!

  Good location with a very kind host who gave us excellent info on where to eat and what to see

  Liked: Josephine was a wonderful host. She speaks good English which was great for us and she made our stay memorable telling us where to eat and what to see.
