  Beautiful location but difficult drive up

  Liked: A very peaceful location, lovely house and garden. Easy to walk or bus into town Friendly staff

  Disliked: Difficult drive up on very narrow steep lane. The shower tray and the swimming pool did not have anti slip flooring, not great if you are an older guest We didn’t think the breakfast was very good value at 15euros per person especially as they wanted to charge another 7 for an omelette

  Liked: Beautiful villa. Very quiet and about 25 minutes walk to the centre. Its very chill. The staff in particular Beatrice were so helpful and friendly. There is a beautiful restaurant around the corner. We would definitely return to stay at Villa Bottacin and Trieste is a wonderful city.

  Disliked: The air con unit was very loud but I like white noise so it didnt bother me but others may find it bothersome.

  Lovely relaxing stay with helpful staff

  Liked: Staff were really helpful. Lovely pool and clean comfortable rooms. Great breakfast.

  Disliked: Air conditioning units are freestanding and incredibly noisy. Very narrow lane to drive up to villa.

  Tranquil and beautiful

  Liked: Beautiful building and setting. Set back up a very quiet (and narrow!) cobbled lane. The pool is tranquil and shade dappled with a backdrop of the mansion. The breakfast is excellent!!
