Exceptional
Liked: Therme, restaurant, location not far frome Rome, friendly staff
Disliked: You are not able to walk out of the territory of the hotel, just only by taxi.
Great spa and hotel
Liked: Fredrico and Lorenzo are excellent. Also the manager was very helpful. The breakfast was very good. Our room with a view of the main pools was great. Thanks for taking care of us.

Beautiful spa but not a four star experience
Liked: The pools are magnificent. Stunning views at sunset. A truly magical retreat. The grounds are really beautiful. Good location close to Viterbo and the interesting surrounding region. Good spa. Very kind staff. Some of the rooms have been remodeled. The inside of the hotel really needs some help, but I really like the exterior of the hotel. Beautiful outdoor pools, nice outdoor seating areas, lovely landscaping, with mature trees and fragrant plants. We enjoyed the rich and varied breakfast offerings. I love a bougie hotel breakfast. Although there’s an automatic machine, if you ask the waiters, they will make you a proper cappuccino.
Disliked: Serious problems with the temperature in the room. It was absolutely way too hot in the room, and the manager declared it was “not possible” to turn on the air conditioner since it was already October. In the end, they brought swamp coolers to our rooms, which kept us cool enough. The next day, the hotel turned the air conditioners back on. Classic Italian “not possible” which as you know equals, ‘we don’t feel like doing it.’ Because the next day, the air conditioning was back on in the whole hotel: I guess it was possible after all. I feel like Italy could really easily solve their AC problems if they would just put screens on the windows and doors. The air was fresh outside, so theoretically we could open the doors and let that fresh air come in. But no. No screens, so your choices are sweat or be eaten by mosquitoes. I will say that the staff did their best to make us happy, and in the end I was happy with the solution. It was frustrating that we had to fight so hard to get something so basic, especially at a hotel where we were paying €300 a night for several nights. Because of this, I would not say that this is really a four-star experience. We carried our own bags, had to fend for ourselves, and begged for the air conditioning that was freely advertised. Installations are old and felt more like a three star.
