  Camino Walkers do not stay here. There are no taxi or buses up or down!

  Liked: Room was clean, beds comfortable.

  Disliked: Do not go to this hotel if you are on the Camino walk. You might get a taxi ride up the 4km switchback road, but you will not get one to go back down into A Guarda. 1. No actual reception, just a dial up box to talk with someone. 2. No restaurants were open, only a small place across with 2-3 selections of potato/cheese pie, and maybe a sandwich. Drinks, but not much for food. 3. No way of going back down the mountain, no taxi, no bus. We had major difficulty trying to procure a taxi the next day to leave, no one answered our call. The lady at the hotel even tried finding a taxi for us to no avail. There were 3 of us with 3 carry ons. We had booked 2 nights here, but after finding out there was no restaurant open? We couldn't stay there another night. There were 2 other ladies who were leaving as well because of this problem. They left earlier the next day, they walked down. The staff was only the housekeeping/kitchen lady. You will be charged for breakfast unless you include it in your booking. It was not much of breakfast. After finding out the first night, there would be no food basically open on Sun, Monday. We had to leave. In the end, the kitchen staff lady, offered to take us down to A Guarda town but for 5 Euros each. (It was 10 Euros for the cab ride up) We took the ride and were very glad to be off the mountain. If you have a vehicle, then it's okay to go up and look around. Lesson learned. Check where you book, the area!

  Disliked: Check in process - no personal on property to help with the process, unable to have questions answered - in general no customer service- isolated location - the hotel restaurant wasn’t offering dinner - nor where any restaurants near by ( not mentioned in write up ) - bar closed at 7 pm as well.
