  Disliked: After a 12-hour journey, exhausted and with two children, we arrived to find the house in a filthy condition — full of dog hair and insects, very bad smell in the all house. We had previously spoken with the host about where to find the key, but not a single word was mentioned about the state of the property. When we asked how this situation was acceptable, the response was that we should go and find another place to stay and they would cover the cost while they clean it — which would take 1–2 days. I told them that cleaning is not enough — the place needs to be disinfected, and we are not going back until that is done. We ended up finding alternative accommodation at the last minute, far away and much more expensive. We asked for a refund of the booking fee, but the host refuses to return it. I do not recommend this property to anyone.

  Great place for family stay and a

  Liked: View from all balconies - great! House located in quite place, not in middle of tourist flow which is great! House was perfect for our family trip for 6 persons. Has got all needed things - washing machine, all kitchen tools, heaters which were very useful during October visit. Own parking space. All pictures in booking.com represents place as it is, so no surprises when arriving. House is near to Centeanes beach, distance approx 1 km. Distance from central part of Carvoeiro approx 3 km. Supermarkets located 1-4 km from house, so easy to get there. Nearest restaurants also 1 km from house.

  Disliked: It looks like WiFi was not available and mobile data flow is very poor, only NOS mobile network was working properly time to time on upper level. It was a minor thing which disturbed, since I had some work tasks to be performed during our stay.

  Incredible stay. Amazing home with incredible views

  Liked: Amazing roof terrace Very quiet area with beautiful sea views and sunset views. Perfect size for us Kitchen was super well equipped Loves the patios on each room

  Disliked: Wi-Fi was needed to be purchased but this will be sorted in the new year.

  Affordable spacious accommodation

  Liked: For this price point I can't complain. The home is spacious and has just about everything you need and more. The view from main floor balcony and rooftop is beautiful. The location is quiet and peaceful and within walking distance to beach, store and restaurants. Parking is no trouble due to your own private driveway.

  Disliked: The host responds within reasonable time and offers help but minimal detail. I did feel burdensome to ask simple questions. Had some trouble with the washer due to my own fault. I was asked to have the housekeeper offer help but wasn't told when they would arrive or how to contact them. No one came at any time during my entire 2 week stay, so how to ask? I did figure it out as well as how to use the shower in one bathroom.. originally we thought no hot water but you have to turn the knob on the wall next to the sink because the shower knob doesn't work so therefor everyone used the same shower when my purpose was to have separate ones. Also, be careful not to close the patio door while everyone is outside because it's not possible to open it from the outside. Thankfully, we learned this while someone was still inside to open the door. Same with front door.. once shut u can't open it unless u have the key! Also, there are no Portuguese tv stations unless I'm unaware of how to use the cable. Anyhow, we didn't spend much time watching tv... much rather look at the view from the balcony. No place is perfect, and the value for this space was unbeatable.

  We had a wonderful Easter time and truly felt at home

  Liked: The house is equipped with plenty of high quality appliances, which you typically wouldn't find in a tourist accommodation. Everything is in a good condition. We had a wonderful Easter time and truly felt at home. The location is perfect and the host Ilona is very friendly and helpful. Internet connection is fast and reliable, but you need to visit a NOS store to buy a Kangaroo card - you can find one in Portimão, which is open even on Sundays!

  Disliked: The beds could be a more comfortable. And it's a strange feeling to find someone else's clothes in the wardrobe - seems that someone hadn't moved out completely before the house started being offered as a tourist accommodation. Furthermore, the umbrellas on the balcony and on the roof terrace are quite unstable, especially if the wind gets more gusty.
